Samsung Electronics unveils new SUHD TV

By Lee Seung-hoon, Maeil Business News Korea South Korea’s electronics behemoth Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled its new quantum dot-based SUHD TVs on Tuesday, a year after it first introduced the quantum-dot TV series to vie with organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs. Samsung Electronics will release 14 models of the second-generation quantum-dot TV with a screen in sizes ranging from 49 inches to 88 inches in the Korean market. Quantum-dot display technology is said to help further enhance definition and color purity of TVs. The company has added 10 curved SUHD TV models and eight large-sized SUHD TVs with a 65-inch screen or larger to offer consumers a broader choice.
