Paymaya school IDs offered to students for cashless transactions

Paymaya is providing several schools in Metro Manila with a special school ID that also acts like a regular Paymaya card. They can use the card to log in their attendance through a designated kiosk, and this kiosk can also be used to load cash into the card. The special ID can be utilized to purchase food in their canteens, but it can also be used to buy items in bookstores or any other establishments outside the campus. Retro gaming with this!

Retro gaming is fun. It’s a chance to relive the classics or games I might have missed as a youth. I’ve met people armed to the teeth with two GTX 1080s in their custom built PCs and yet they use all the power to process 8 to 16-bit era games. To join the buzz, a mini Sega MegaDrive went on sale in some places, and then there’s the Nintendo Classic – which houses 30 pre-selected games by Nintendo itself. We can’t blame them why they had to do that, not all classic games were good, many were not even aren’t worth our time. But look out, here’s another device that will allow you to check out not 30, but over 400 – yes you heard that right – classic titles, ranging from …

Canvas first mobile annotation capability for best-in-class learning management

Canvas, the open online learning management system (LMS) from Instructure that makes teaching and learning easier, announced the immediate availability of a new annotation feature in its mobile application. Canvas is the only LMS to provide this capability, which streamlines the process of distributing and completing digital assignments. This new annotation feature allows work to be completed inside Canvas, reducing a 20+ step process to three steps. As schools become increasingly digital, teachers and students are often faced with many disparate online tools that can force convoluted, confusing processes for downloading and uploading. Providing students with the ability to annotate documents directly inside Canvas eliminates the need for a separate app, which in turn removes the cost for another digital annotation tool. Through this new annotation feature, teachers gain back hours of instructional …
