Fil-Australian actress Nathalie Hart won Best Actress at the recently concluded Philippines International Film Festival held in New York.

Natalie won the award for her role in BG International Productions’ “Siphayo,” directed by the multi-awarded Joel Lamangan.

The actress, (formerly called Princess Snell when she was GMA-7 “Starstruck” Avenger) upped the ante for “Siphayo” agreeing to do nude scenes.

She admitted it wasn’t easy.

“Nu’ng sinabi sa akin ni direk Joel na frontal nudity ang kailangan niya sa akin, kabadong-kabado po ako. Pero after reading the script, hindi na ako nagdalawang-isip,” Nathalie said.

“I was shocked but very excited with my role. It’s really a role of a lifetime. As Alice, I’m complex, manipulative, very sexy and unpredictable.”

Nathalie has several explicit love scenes in the movie as well.

Joel shared Nathalie had a hard time adjusting to her role.

“At one point nagkulong ‘yan, natakot. Lalo na ng iso-shoot na naming ‘yung isa niyang love scene. Kinausap ko siya, inexplika ko sa kanya kung bakit kailangan namin gawing ganoon, nakinig naman siya so ayun from there, tuloy tuloy na.”

The MTRCB gave “Siphayo” an R-16 rating without cuts.

“This is in consideration of the film’s over-all quality. ‘Yung cinematography, ‘yung mahusay na pagganap ng nga artista and for the social message it imparts,” Joel said.

Also starring Ma. Isabel Lopez, Alan Paule, Joem Bascon, Luis Alandy, and Elora Espano, “Siphayo” open in theaters on Nov. 2.
