Belmont: Businessmen’s comfort zone

Belmont Hotel is strategically located in Newport City, right across NAIA International Airport Terminal 3 and within the internationally-renowned entertainment complex of Resorts World Manila. In front of the Hotel, the Marriott Grand Ballroom is present, the largest MICE facilities in the whole country.

“We started in Oct 8, 2015. Belmont is a local brand, with a 70 per cent Filipino ownership under the Megaworld Hotel chain. This early, we are working hard to meet expectations. Belmont goes for long-term relationships with its clientele,” shared general manager Lorenzo Tang.

The Hotel has 10 floors with of 116 superior rooms,  276 deluxe rooms,  36 corner deluxe, 52 tranquility rooms; a total of 480 rooms.

“Belmont has big rooms and the same level of service but only at 30 per cent of the luxury price. We offer whatever is needed by guests, nothing extra. Most of our guests are transients and very mobile – hop-in, hop-out – mostly, on the go. We are family friendly which accounts for rooms that can be adjoined. We are also big with business travelers; those who simply need basic accommodation.

“The millennial market in the Philippines is still premature. It’s growing fast though. Business is driven because technology helps,” he added.

Room amenities include coffee & tea making facilities, a 32” flat-screen TV monitor, complimentary  wire-less internet access, in-room personal safe, personal refrigerator,  in-room telephone,  bathrobe and slippers, mini-bar items, full-size executive writing desk, hair dryer, and complete bathroom amenities.

A 360-degree panoramic-view, rooftop outdoor swimming pool with massage deck, heated outdoor Jacuzzi, a kiddie pool, fully-equipped fitness center, spa facilities, sauna & steam room, and ample parking spaces are some of the hotel facilities.

Others would include babysitting, same-day laundry and valet service, taxi and limousine service, scheduled airport shuttle service, and options for private transportation service.

“Our food carries thematic directions. After our Indon/Thai cuisine last month, September is all about Central Luzon. We will also be having seasonal offerings such as Halloween (Nov), Christmas (Dec), as well as something unique and/or different in other months of the year,” GM Tang continued.

Meeting Room 1  can seat  18 persons, Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 can accommodate twice with 36 persons; while combining all three, based on a classroom set-up, can receive up to 90 persons.

“Belmont is also exploring additional markets for its resort portfolio. Our next opening location is Boracay, in December. Everything is aligned with the best standards. My team is learning from me and vice versa; especially culture-wise,” enthused GM Tang, in closing.
