After the public saw hints of a love quarrel and have caught air of an alleged breakup with rumored boyfriend Dr. Mikhail “Mike” Varshavski, also known as People Magazine’s “Sexiest Doctor Alive,” Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has shown her followers that they are still exchanging rather endearing messages on social media.

What surprised many, which made Pinoy netizens woo the pairing, is when Dr. Mike replied to the reigning Miss Universe’s messages in her local language.

On Thursday night (May 17, 2016), Pia was seen tweeting messages, through her personal Twitter account, written in Filipino to the Russian-born New York doctor which says: “Nagkamali lang po ng pagkaintindi at pagkasagot. Pasensya na po. Maraming salamat po. @RealDoctorMike Okay na po ba, doc?

To which Dr. Mike replied: “Ok lang @PiaWurtzbach na nagkamali ang pagkaintindi mo at sagot. Naiintindihan ko. Lahat ng bagay at lahat ay mabuti.”

Afterwards, the 26-year-old beauty queen jokingly tweeted her over 431,000 followers to translate her tweet for the doctor as he didn’t seem to understand what her message meant.

However, Dr. Mike redeemed himself by sharing that he is currently studying how to speak in Tagalog, together with a greeting for the Philippines.

Nag aaral lang ngayon ng Tagalog. Mabuhay Philippines!” said Dr. Mike to his followers, accompanied by an emoji of the Philippine flag.

Pinoy netizens immediately took notice of the greeting and replied with words of thanks and even tried to help the doctor learn new words. According to one of his followers, the doctor “passed the first step to win the Filipinos’ heart”.

As a proud Pinay, Pia replied “Good to know you finally can spell our Philippines correctly (thumbs up). Oh and you finally know what our flag looks like! Congratulations, the Filipinos love you now.”

Aside from taking care of one of the Philippines’ pride, Dr. Mike looks like he’s also very much willing to learn the language and the culture — which is a thumbs-up for Pia’s fans.

Previously, Pia posted an Instagram photo with the caption “Boy, I’m a prize and not a catch” that was later on taken down. As fans expressed concern about the hints of a looming breakup of the couple they ship, Pia posted a tweet telling her fans to calm down and that everything is all right.

In an interview on Tonight with Boy Abunda when she visited her homeland last April 14, Pia revealed that she is indeed dating the 26-year-old doctor.
