WATCH: Bb. Pilipinas queens encourage everyone to read, be fully informed

The winners of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 graced the Manila Bulletin Integrated Newsroom on Tuesday afternoon (May 17, 2016), and they are strongly encouraging the public to continue reading the news across all platforms – online and print – in order to be fully informed about the latest happenings in the Philippines and beyond.

Bb. Supranational 2016 Joanna Eden started the pour of messages from the queens, saying: “I just want to encourage all of you to go and pick up your newspapers every day. Read the online sections, I know there’s lifestyle sections online. It’s good to stay updated with the latest news and it’s fun also.”

Meanwhile, Bb. Pilipinas International 2016 and Manila Bulletin’s People’s Choice Award winner Kylie Verzosa shared how amazed she was at the changes in the newsroom since she first visited in 2015 prior to inviting the netizens to continue “feeding” their minds.

I’m encouraging all the readers, all the young people, to keep on reading. Remember that reading feeds your mind and when you’re mentally healthy, then you can cope with the things you can in life and do things a lot better. So keep on reading and pick up the nation’s leading newspaper, Manila Bulletin,” said Verzosa.

Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2016 Nicole Marie Manalo, on the other hand, called on the youth.

I’m just encouraging everyone, especially the youth, to continue to read Manila Bulletin for us to be updated and educated all the time,” she said.

For Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Cordoves, newspapers go well with morning coffee.

I encourage everyone to read the newspaper every day. It goes great with a cup of coffee beside this,” said Cordoves as she pointed towards a broadsheet.

Last, but certainly not the least, Bb. Pilipinas 2nd runner-up Jehza Mae Huelar urged everyone to support the proponent of Philippine progress.

Manila Bulletin provides you a very reliable source of information and facts. So follow Manila Bulletin on social media – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – to keep yourself updated,” invited Huelar.

The five Bb. Pilipinas queens were crowned last April 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with Maxine Medina earning the Miss Universe Philippines 2016 title.
