On Sunday, April 24, two weeks before the elections, the five candidates for the highest office in the land will again try to sway more votes in the final PiliPINAS Debate at the Phinma-University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City.

Sharing the stage for the last time before one of them becomes President of the Philippines are Vice-President Jejomar Binay, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Sen. Grace Poe, and former Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.
The final debate will bring ordinary people to ask the candidates about urgent issues affecting them under the town hall debate format organized by the Commission on Elections, Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KBP), ABS-CBN and Manila Bulletin.
This format was assigned to ABS-CBN after a “drawing of lots” facilitated by the Comelec involving all lead networks for the debate series.
The issues will cover free basic education, OFW concerns and employment opportunities, maritime dispute with China, peace in Mindanao, metro traffic and public transportation system, basic health care, jobs and unfair labor practice.
The sector representatives were chosen among thousands of Filipinos who sent in their queries for the presidential candidates via ABS-CBN’s “Halalan Hugot” campaign which gathered 1,319 responses focusing on seven issues.
Each presidential candidate will get to answer all questions, which will allow the public to compare and decide which candidate is truly prepared and committed to address the issues raised.
The  site of the town hall debate will be at the Studen Plaza of the Phinma- University of Pangasinan campus, the biggest and oldest university in the province with a population of 12,000.

Mudslinging is constant pero sana naman before they do it bigyan sila ng ample time like 5-10 mins per candidate to present first their platform and on how they are going to do it w/o rebuttals from other candidate para malaman ng tao kung ano mismo ung plataporma.

One would want to know if some of the candidates have changed any of their earlier pronouncements. Like — will Grace still invite D30 as her Crime Czar if she wins?

raise the level of discourse and avoid mudslinging. Props to those who remained focus on giving straight-forward answers.
