Packing all the blood and gore in one mean, gaming machine!

Killing your enemies, whether humans or aliens, has never been this exciting. Hardcore gamers, or even those who love to shoot villains once in a while, would surely love the release of the new Acer Predator 17.

MB TechNews to Acer: Thank you for trusting us with this mean, gaming machine. We promise to kill as many enemies as we can for a week, then you can ship it to another team for review.

Now here’s the deal. The Acer Predator 17 arrived in our Techlab only before last week ended, giving us not enough time to beat the deadline with a comprehensive review.

Fact is, we dare not write a hasty review of this machine. We want to do justice of its much publicized features by taking our sweet time banging away with our favorite shoot ‘em up games.4

Hence, this simple sneak preview of TechNews’ most impressive review gadget in 2016.

Out of the box, the Acer Predator 17 looks more like an alien starfighter with its grilled rear end.

It must be a starfighter, since overall, its body is so meticulously shaped that if it was a drone, it’s a sleek-flying one.

The Acer Predador 17, by the way, took off from the recent IFA 2015. It was unveiled, we heard, with ooohs and aaahs filling the room.

It is a gaming laptop which Acer designed to attract not just gamers but those who love well-crafted devices.

Those big heat grille on the back looks threateningly lovely — yes, there’s such a thing to gamers — and boosts your imagination even before you can power it on.

The Acer Predator 17 sports a three-zone keyboard backlight, allowing the side macro buttons and the keypad to light-up with different colors to the main keys. The macro keys are arranged in a column to the left of the keyboard.

There are the highlighted W/A/S/D and directional buttons on the keyboard, a dedicated ‘trackpad off’ button below for using the mouse.

It has four mid/treble drivers and two subwoofers — on the underside of the laptop. It has a 17.3-inch screen, IPS display technology, resolution 1920×1080, 32GB RAM with maximum RAM support of 64GB.

Enough of these, boys, leave us alone as we complete our unboxing with a spin of the Acer Predator 17. Now we play. Review comes out next week, we promise.
